Creating a Crop Plan Proposal Header

To start a new Crop Plan, go to the Crop Plan list from the "All" menu.  

From the Crop Plan list view, click on Create Crop Plan.

Complete the attributes in the crop plan header record and click Save.   The Name attribute is the name of the proposal such as "Smith Farms Spring Fertilizer".  The Account is the Grower.  The Expected Close Date is when the sales rep expects the proposal to be accepted, and also when the deal will show up on the Rep Sales Forecast.  The crop plan should be assigned to the sales rep.


When the header record is Saved, the proposal will be opened in the Crop Plan Builder.  Click on Edit to complete the main attributes of the crop plan.

Complete the attributes of the crop plan header.  Confidence is the % likelihood that the deal will close.   Date Wanted is the day that product delivery is expected.  Effective Dates is the period of of time before the proposal must be accepted.  

Internal Notes can only be seen by internal users and is not visible to the Grower.  Customer Notes are included on the proposal document and can be viewed by the Grower.   Terms are the Terms and Conditions that you may want to include on the proposal.   Click Save when finished.
